Moved Blog

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When we got investment in fav.or.it we created a new company ‘favorit ltd’ that would own it, this left me with the problem that my blogging was being done under Assembleron, we already have a blog for fav.or.it so I decided I would separate out all my personal blogging to a new domain, so from now only Assembleron related stuff will go on the old blog and it will slowly be converted to look more like a company blog. The current feed (which you are probably reading) now points at http://www.nickhalstead.com/ but in a few months I will point it back at Assembleron, so I encourage everyone to subscribe to the new feed.

What is different?

Absolutely nothing! I will continue to blog about everything I have before, so programming (major slant towards PHP), management and anything techy that interests me. You may also find I start writing a few more topical posts.

If you read the fav.or.it blog you will hopefully have noticed that we are very close to putting it live (in closed beta) which will hopefully free up more time to blog on a more regular basis! And it will also mean I can go back through a lot of the fav.or.it code and start sharing any models/classes which I think would be useful to the community.

Design

The new design for the blog is much more focused on letting those who are new to the site find some of the most popular content, it still has some work to be done but the basic layout will likely stay the same, I would be interested to getting all your feedback.
