It has been a quiet couple of days for development news, so these are my top picks from the last week.

Nightmare web design clients

A fantastic rant about Digg and Reddit (and a few other topics). I must agree with several of the points made, especially the direction Digg has now taken; with global uptake so has the irrelevance of a great deal of the stories.
Everything indie sucks now

I have to admit I am one of those who still wonder why anyone uses vi so the title of this post immediately caught my eye. If your already a vi fan you probably do not need to read this, if you think its something that went out with the dinosaurs then this is definitely worth a read, did it change my mind? the jury is out.
Why, oh WHY, do those nutheads use vi?

Jakob Nielsen wrote an article on the BBC news pages about the current usability of web 2.0 sites. This is one persons response.
I totally disagree with Jakob Nielsen on Web2.0 “Distracts Good Design�.
