PowerEdge 1900 Unboxing

I was woken up this morning at some ungodly hour by a lost delivery man from Dell. We move into our new offices in 1 week time and so I was having all the new equipment delivered to my house. One slight problem with this is that it is in the middle of nowhere. And for some reason this particular delivery company (Dell seem to use a range of different companies in the UK) do not believe in satellite navigation, or in fact maps in general. But long story short, the server was delivered.
I needed a server that could manage running VMware Server (for a range of development images.), Microsoft Exchange Server and also act as our fileserver. So it had to be quite chunky, after much wrangling with my nice Dell sales representative (they are nice to you for the first 6 months of opening a new account I have discovered, then… your dropped into the sales department equivalent of hell, but thats another story!) I managed to get a very reasonable price, partly due I think to the fact that Dell just want to shift equipment right now, even if it’s just at cost.
So what do we have? Xeon Dual Core plus room to add another cpu, 2GB of ram and room to add LOTS more, and one SATA drive. Pretty bare bones but I have already ordered a 500GB SATA to put in myself as the cost difference between a 500GB on the Dell website and somewhere like Ebuyer (not sure what the US equivalent would be) was massive. (£70 vs £300!).
Anyway, here are the pictures of me taking it out the box, I have a load of other equipment coming next week so I may do this again (as ive not seen much business unboxing).
