Here is what I have learnt after yestardays post ‘Death of Google search’
- Beware of Google Fanboys (I didnt know they existed!)
- Dont put sensationalist news on reddit as it just gets buried instantly (It turns out the people who run reddit also play a significant part in removing what they deem ‘junk’)
- Make sure your comments have to be moderated first
Some interesting news I found today..
The popular video/photo hosting site PhotoBucket has had its services blocked on myspace. Scoble has an interesting article about it. The bottom line is that if you use a free service then there is a chance that free service may change without you having power over it. Yes myspace may have made a serious mistake and will lose customers because of this change. But the fact is nobody is paying for myspace so the only way they can make a difference is by voting with their feet.
I was working with some nasty CSS today that I had inherited and wanted a quick way to tidy it up. I found this optimiser which I can’t recommend enough.
