April fool madness and old source code

Seems like every major website today had some form of april fool joke today. But I think Gmail Paper was my favourite - GMAIL PAPER

I have also been going back through some of my code archives to see if there was anything relevant I could use for a future article about ‘how not to program’ and rather worryingly I found lots. I have a complete game that never got past ‘BETA’ and then the company that paid for it went bust. The game was called ’stratagem’ which was a very early warcraft derivative. It was sort-of turn based but allowed up to 32 players and had some really cool online features (for its time anyway).

I still have all the source code (which still compiles!) for the game and the servers for online play. But I have never had the time or inclination to try and get it up and running again. If anyone is experienced in C + DirectX (win32) and has time to waste give me a shout. Below is clip from EDGE magazine about its pending release (which never happened).
